Lately I've been contemplating going on some sort of excercise/diet regime. It really is about high time I drop this spare tire I'm carrying around with me. The biggest problem I think, is just getting the ball rolling. I mean, when it comes down to a decision about sleeping an extra half hour or getting up and going jogging or whatever, how can you argue with sleep? Really though, I think its more the excercise that I need. Sure, I don't have the healthiest diet and should cut out the fast food and all that, but I really don't overindulge too much. I rarely if ever snack between meals. I think I just need to make some better decisions, like cutting out coke, no more fried foods...just stuff that makes sense. And I should probably start having some sort of breakfast (more than a coffee anyways).
It will be the excercise that is the hardest part though. I probably get about as much excercise as someone in a coma. I sit all day at work, and then I get home and sit\lie down on the couch. That's it. I'm sure I should start off slow, maybe go for a half hour walk every morning or something, take the dog with me. Then work from there. I wouldn't really see the point in joining a gym right away though, since I don't really want to get roped into a year long contract or whatever just to end up not going in a couple months.
The sad thing is, I couldn't count how many times I've said these exact same things to myself, only to do nothing about it. Why would this time be any different?

In other news, its a good thing I didn't book my Vegas as I probably would have booked with JetsGo, and apparently they went tits up today. I wonder what happens to people who already have travel booked with them? Do they get their money back or what? All it said in the paper was to contact the Canadian Transportation Agency, whatever that is. Ahh well, guess we'll be flying from Buffalo if we go now. It really is ridiculous that even with exchange and everything, you can save well over $100/person by flying from Buffalo instead of Toronto.
I was reading more about those farmers who were protesting at Queen's Park this week and it seems that they're pretty radical and right wing. Apparently they sent threatening letters to the Minister of Agriculture, and now they're talking about blockading food distribution warehouses. All this, and I still don't really know what the hell they're fighting for. They say they are against the over-regulation of rural lands, but what do they want? Complete and utter lawlessness out there? If they're against government interference, does that mean they won't accept government subsidies and tax breaks and everything that farmers get? I doubt it.
poor pathetic me
me, blabbering on about whatever I want since there's no one to stop me
