Leafs lost last night. Overall they didn't play poorly or anything, but they need to score more than 1 goal. They go at it again tonight in Atlanta, hopefully they can generate some sort of offense.
That loss though was dwarfed by the completely out of left field trade. Thornton to San Jose for Stuurm, Stuart and Wayne Primeau. I don't think anyone could have ever possibly seen this coming. My friend and I were sitting there, watching the end of the Leafs game when Gord Miller came on and broke the news...we thought we were hearing things. I know the Bruins have been sucking it up, but I really think the problems go waaaaaaaaaay deeper than Thornton occasionally floating or taking nights off. The guys they got back aren't horrible, but they aren't Joe Thornton either. I don't understand how this could possibly be good for Boston. Who's their big stud-superstar that every team seems to need? Bergeron? Samsonov? I think things are going to get a lot worse in Beantown before they get better.
poor pathetic me
me, blabbering on about whatever I want since there's no one to stop me
