Quebeckers: We're not racist, just don't do any of your goofy shit here

This article is unbelievable. If you don't want to read it all, the general gist of it is a town in Quebec published a declaration advising immigrants settling down in the town that they shouldn't do things like "stone women to death in public, burn them alive or throw acid on them" aren't acceptable. Also that in their town, women can vote and drive cars and that you're not allowed to beat your kids. The counciller who drew this pile of crap up said "We invite people from all nationalities, all languages, all sexual orientations, whatever, to come live with us, but we want them to know ahead of time how we live". It boggles my mind that a society like Quebecers that crows over and over again about how important it is to maintain their 'distinct heritage' are so intolerant of anyone else's heritage. In that article they mention a poll where 59% of the Quebecers answered that they have some racisft feelings. They have language police roaming the streets to make sure that businesses don't dare advertise in english. So I guess in their eyes the only heritage worth protecting is the french one. Or maybe its that they don't mind if you want to keep your own non-french customs, just go and do it in english-speaking Canada.
