I'm kind of having mixed feelings about the series finale of the Sopranos last night. Its sort of like the Seinfeld finale...a legendary show that will be remembered for decades to come is going to have a hard time satisfying everyone when it ends. Some of the episode was great: Phil getting killed, Uncle Junior in the nuthouse, the sit down with Phil's associates, Paulie and the cat. There were definitely good parts.

But that fucking ending...I don't know. First of all, I (like a bunch of other people I'm sure) started thinking the cable went out right then, especially since the hi-def channels had been cutting out every now and then earlier in the day. I ran to the computer to check if people on the Internet had seen something I hadn't. When I confirmed that the silent blackness was the ending, I was kind of pissed. What kind of ending is that? The build-up was suspenseful as hell: was Meadow going to walk in and see her dad get shot? Was the whole family going to die or just Tony? Was nothing going to happen at all? But then.......who knows? If that was a season finale that would have been the ultimate cliffhanger, but as a series finale? I'm sure its meant to be a 'you decide what happened' sort of thing, but after 7 seasons you'd hope for some closure and really, we're left with none.

M, Raw had a better ending than the Sapranos the other night, and it wasn't even a finale, Vince McMahon blew up in his car at the end!!!Very cool!
